You would like to better understand the Auto Refresh feature.

Information

Auto-refresh updates a particular campaign marketing list on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. 

The frequency option (i.e., daily, weekly, monthly) indicates how often contacts will be refreshed in the distribution list. These changes to the distribution list will only affect new contacts. Contacts who were already updated would not be notified again.
